FURUTECH "a-Process" CRYOGENIC + DEMAGNETIZATION

FURUTECH is a very technical oriented Japanese company, making extremely well engineered contact materials for HiFi. Many special technologies are used, to achieve the best results possible. The finishing quality is superb, which will keep the contacts in a like-new condition for a very long time. 

They have a special plating process with extreme pure, nonmagnetic  materials. All metal parts and wires go through a SUPER CRYOGENIC process. This is believed to change molecule structures. After this a DEMAGNETIZATION treatment  is done. As a result, signal transmission greatly increases. The sound gets more detailed, smooth, fluid and more profound, powerful, dynamic. 

For the gold plating of parts that are subject to heavy force, a four layer gold plating technology is used. This will prevent damage of the gold layer. For extreme use situations, Rhodium plating can be used. Rhodium is a premium contact material, and a so called "hard-metal". However the very thick multi layer gold plating is sufficient for normal use. 

It is not commonly known that gold plating can be done with gold alloy, going down to 15% gold only! With today's gold price it is impossible to sell a gold plated connector for 1$. When offered, the gold is a low gold-content alloy. At FURUTECH, all gold plating is done with 100% pure (24K)= gold. For heavy use parts, like the spades, a four layer plating technology is used. (Copper-Gold-Copper-Gold). 

All screws and springs are made from nonmagnetic metals, and mostly they are gold plated also. 

  • OFC= Oxygen Free Copper (for low noise) 
  • SUPER CRYOGENIC PROCESS= Cooled down with liquid nitrogen, at lowest possible temperature on earth.

  1. One screw for the outside cable, or one for the signal wire. Cable isolation screw will go through the isolation, and by this way hold the cable very good.  Method for cables until 5.5mm outside
  2. Two scres on the copper. Cable Isolation will stay outside. Use schrink sleeve to mount the connector nicely. Method for cables until 5.5 mm copper diameter. (Some example with pictures)
